Intern Student Instructors

Beginning a musical education starts with exploration and inspiration. The best opportunity for learning to sing or play an instrument is rooted in a trusted relationship with a private instructor.  Our Student Interns can provide ENTRY LEVEL teaching at entry level fees. Our Student Instructors are mentored by Teaching Artists who help oversee the quality and scope of instruction.  Interns help you learn more about your child's interest and aptitude while inspiring them to take the next step to enroll private lessons through our CORE ARTS PROGRAM.

Interns teach 4 week small group classes in violin, drums, singing, piano.  Our interns also provide 12-Week Starter Private Lessons to get a jumpstart in violin, piano, drums, or voice.

Jeremy Torres

Jeremy is an honors-graduate of Fairfield Christian School. He is currently enrolled in the music program at Solano Community College with a plan set to secure a music degree in the near future. He has studied privately at YACM with Rich Crockett (R&B), Waverly Cook (hard rock), and presently with Michael Santoni (Latin, metal, jazz, and more). Jeremy is pursuing his musical skillsets with a technical approach to the drum set. YACM has recently featured his combined skills in a stellar performance at Vacaville’s Deville Theatre where he demonstrated his abilities in sight reading, rudimentary drumming, and the application of his skills in a Latin samba groove. His experience extends to working with local churches as a worship drummer since the age of 13. Today, he has been chosen specifically to teach drum set for incoming drum students as an integral part of the student-teaching roster at YACM. Jeremy is looking forward to building relationships with these new students and musically investing himself in them.
