The Conservatory began auditions in September for our new Commitment to Excellence Merit Scholarship. This awards select applicants with a year's worth of free private lessons.
The applicants submitted essays and performed in front of a panel of judges, comprising the education coordinator, artistic director and the applicant's potential private instructor.
The applicants went through a rigorous interview process answering questions.
On September 24th, three guitar applicants auditioned: two on acoustic and one on electric.
On Friday, Oct. 3, the judging panel heard auditions from three more applicants: one on clarinet and two on violin.
YACM held it’s auditions for vocal applicants on Oct. 13.
YACM has seen amazing students with incredible talent through this Merit Scholarship program. It takes a lot of courage and determination to audition in front of a panel of judges. The applicant pool has shown great responsibility, determination and attentiveness.
The award recipients will begin their private lessons immediately thereafter, making them the newest members of the Conservatory family.
Please help us welcome them with open arms!
