YACM

Feb 1, 2022

YACM Announces its Definitive Next Level in Learning

First came CORE-Arts, program with private lessons, theory class, a syllabus, and performances. Then we launched Little-Arts for those enthusiastic 4 and 5 year olds to take private lessons and explore their way to readiness CORE-Arts readiness.

In 2022, YACM announces the definitive next step for those who want a professionally immersive music education program. PRO-Arts will provide a robust program taught by a bold faculty. Accepted members of PRO-Arts will participate in 5-8 hours a week of lessons, classes and ensembles. The program will integrate private lessons with large and small ensembles, enrichment classes, musicianship and composition classes along with juried assessments and frequent performances.

YACM Teaching Artist Jaymes Kirksey is excited to be a part of this program, "Give me as much time as the soccer coach gets each week, and I'll transform your child". YACM is interviewing faculty for positions in our inaugural season and plans to have all faculty announcements posted by the end of June. PRO-Arts begins with a 3 day summer intensive on August 12-14, 2022.

Those interested in PRO-Arts should have no lesson 1-2 years of music lessons or classes and audition with developmentally sufficient skills. An audition is necessary. Auditions open on February 15, 2022 by filling out a form on the our website. Students who play piano, strings, woodwinds, brass, percussion, guitar or sing will be considered for membership into PRO-Arts and placed in appropriate level ensembles and classes. All students must remain flexible in their schedule as everyone's schedules are interdependent. To learn more about the program go online at www.youngartistsconservatory.org/private_lessons
