Music Matters Returns to School

FSUSD calls upon YACM to fill teaching vacancies in music. In 2010, YACM launched a public school music program to keep music education on campus. Since then YACM instructors have joined with over 15 schools through out Fairfield, Suisun, and Vallejo to keep kids singing and playing music.

Today, in partnership with FSUSD, YACM instructors will provide after-school band in five schools: Cordelia Hills, Cleo Gordon, Fairview, Rolling Hills, Crescent. The school provides instruments, covid relevant PPE and facilities.

Due to grant funding by the California Arts Council, and Genentech, YACM can offer additional classes, sectionals, and guest artists to all band students in the district.
