Adriana “Lany” De La Campa is a violinist and dedicated music educator who has been teaching at Young Artists Conservatory of Music for 13 years. She is a graduate of the University of California, Davis, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Music, and she is currently pursuing her Master of Arts in Teaching.
As a versatile performer, Adriana has extensive experience in classical orchestras, solo performance, chamber and small ensembles, and musical theater pit orchestras. Her musical interests extend across a variety of genres, including classical, jazz, folk, contemporary, and avant-garde music. She has also performed internationally at music festivals in Bulgaria and is a member of the Music Teachers’ Association of California (MTAC).
Adriana believes that a well-rounded music education should give students both strong musical foundations and the confidence to become independent musicians. Her students are introduced to a wide variety of musical genres and are given opportunities to develop their skills through solo and ensemble repertoire. Her teaching incorporates music theory, music history, technique, musicianship, and performance experience so that students develop a deeper understanding of the music they study.
Committed to nurturing each student’s individual musicianship, Adriana strives to create an encouraging environment where students can develop technical proficiency, artistic expression, confidence, and independence. She teaches multiple musical disciplines, including violin, viola, and piano, and enjoys helping students discover their own musical interests while building skills that can support a lifelong relationship with music.
