Catie Whittet is honored to return and teach at the very institution that shaped her own artistic journey. A YACM student from the ages of 11-18, Catie trained extensively in Classical Voice, Musical Theatre, and A Cappella, while also serving as a mentor within the programs. She is a proud alumna of both YACM and Will C. Wood High School, graduating in 2020.

Following graduation, Catie relocated to Nashville, Tennessee, where she earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre with a minor in Film Acting. After completing her degree, she returned to California in late 2025 and is thrilled to share her passion for vocal performance and artistry with the next generation of singers at her musical alma mater.

Catie specializes in audition preparation, dramatic interpretation, and healthy belting rooted in a strong classical foundation. Her teaching philosophy emphasizes the development of the whole performer, integrating vocal technique, music theory, and performance anxiety coaching to help students build confidence, refine their artistry, and walk into any audition fully prepared.

In addition to teaching, Catie remains an active performer and working actress. She continues to pursue opportunities in film, television, and theatre, consistently auditioning and submitting for new projects while working toward a full-time career in the performing arts. Her firsthand experience in today's competitive entertainment industry allows her to provide students with practical, relevant guidance as they pursue their own artistic goals.
