Accepting Resume’s for Music Teachers, Artists in Residence, and Theater Directors!


We are hiring qualified and experienced artistic staff to join YACM. We have immediate positions open, and we are recruiting for our 2022-23 season. Immediate positions are available for piano, voice, and young child instructors.


YACM is accepting resume’s now for the 2022-23 season. We are looking for formally trained classical and jazz teaching artists to teach in our CORE-Arts and PRO-Arts program. Instructors and Artists in Residence will be selected to teach conservatory lessons, classes, ensembles, and theater. Certified Suzuki instructors are welcome in violin, cello, guitar and piano.


Our 2022-23 programs will include

• private lessons

• theory classes

• musicianship classes (See Class List for examples)

• youth symphony

• chamber orchestra

• jazz band and rock band

• elementary concert band / sectionals

• theatre and scenes vocal ensembles

• Elementary violin ensemble

• boys chorus

• musicals for youth and children


Qualified instructors have a college degree or conservatory training in music representing formal education and performance experience. Certifications and professional associations are a plus (Suzuki, MTAC, RCM other).


Experienced instructors have 2 or more years of instruction experience and a performance resume. Applicants should be classically trained, able to read music, and work well with children and parents.


YACM is a non-profit music education and performing arts organization. We are dedicated to the advancement of the performing arts through excellence in musical education and performances. YACM was founded on the commitment that the arts have the greatest capacity for human development and social cohesion. Our programs bring the richness and positive effects of formal music and theatre education to children of Solano County. With a well-defined history of developing musicianship, our program is this region’s destination for definitive pre-college music education.


Compensation varies and is commensurate with experience.


The application deadline for current and 2022-23 season instructors is April 15, 2022.
