Inspiration is key to imagination and motivation. At YACM we understand the challenges of developing as a musician. This is why we work to bring students into a relationship with professional musicians and mentors. Our Music Matters in Public Schools Program brings band teachers to school who lack the funding or resources to offer music education on campus. In doing so, we invite opportunities for guest artists to teach classes and direct enrichment classes or performance events.
YACM is enjoyed a long-standing relationship with the USAF Band of the Golden West in support of music education. This Spring members of our local USAF band will volunteer to teach public school band students as part of our Music Matters Program.
